			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you haven&#8217;t heard by now, the grandaddy of theme-park chains, Six Flags, has <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/06/13/six.flags.bankruptcy/index.html" target="_blank">filed for Chapter 11</a> bankruptcy protection. According to a letter <a href="http://www.sixflags.com/national/footerNav/News_OpenLetterFromOurCEO.aspx" target="_blank">posted online</a> by the company&#8217;s CEO, much of the reason has to do with them &#8220;inheriting&#8221; $2.4 billion in debt &#8220;from the previous management team.&#8221; I understand they simply want to shed or reorganize their debt load, but since bankruptcy typically involves a little introspection into the way an organization does business, I have a suggestion. <span id="more-348"></span></p>
<p><em>(As a side note, I can&#8217;t help but wonder how you &#8220;inherit&#8221; billions of dollars in debt. It&#8217;s not like someone kicked the bucket and passed them a truckload of IOUs through the will.)</em></p>
<h3>Get rid of this guy</h3>
<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-351" title="six" src="http://www.mydogwearsdiapers.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/six.jpg" alt="six" width="200" height="152" />Yes, I&#8217;m talking about the dancing octogenarian in your television commercials. This campaign has run its course. Indeed, I would venture to say many people no longer associate Six Flags with family fun, but with their creepy neighbor who threatens anyone who comes within shouting distance of his yard.</p>
